Morrison, Oklahoma is located in the southeastern part of Noble County, just south of Black Bear Creek. The area was opened to non-Indian settlement in 1893, and the community was formed the following year. Initially named Autry, the settlement's name was changed to Morrison when its only store was purchased by James Morrison, who donated forty acres for a town, which was incorporated in 1894.
