Warner is located in southwestern Muskogee County, Oklahoma. Warner was initially known as Hereford, which was established in 1903. Its name was changed to Warner in 1905 to honor U.S. Senator William Warner of Missouri. The former town of Bennett, which was established in 1895, is now part of Warner, as well.
