Watonga, Oklahoma is the seat of Blaine County. The town came into being when land that was previously part of the Cheyenne-Arapaho Reservaton was opened for settlement by non-Indians in 1892, and was named for Arapaho Chief Wa-ton-gha. Clarence Nash, who was the voice of Disney's Donald Duck cartoon character for more than fifty years, was a Watonga native.
