Canby, a city in Clackamas County, is home to the Clackamas County Fairgrounds, where the Clackamas County Fair and Rodeo is held each summer, and which hosts other events throughout the year. The city is named for Edward Richard Sprigg Canby, a Civil War general who was later killed in the Modoc War by Captain Jack and his warriors.
