ncorporated in 1916, Scotts Mills is located two miles south of Marquam, in Marion County, Oregon. Butte Creek is just east of Scotts Mills, flowing north to the Pudding River. Thomas McKay was probably the first settler of the area now known as Scotts Creek; he built a saw mill there in 1847, and later a grist mill.
