Siletz is a small city in Lincoln County, Oregon. The Siletz Indian Reservation is contiguous with the city on its eastern side, and is istuated to the north and southeast of the town as well. The Reservation was created by the U.S. government in 1851. Since that time, its size has been reduced incrementally, with sections of the reservation opened to white settlement, or given to the city. The townsite was developed in 1910, and Siletz was incorporated as a city in 1946.
