Titusville, a city in Crawford County, in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. It was settled in 1796 by Jonathan Titus. He named the settlement Edinburgh or Edinburg. In 1847, it was incorporated as a borough and called Titusville. In the 1850s, oil was found in the hamlet.
