Pacolet is a town in Spartanburg County, South Carolina. Its history dates back to the time of the American Revolution. In the 19th century, the textile industries led to large population increases, such that the area split into four villages: Pacolet, Central Pacolet, Pacolet Mills, and an unincorporated town known as Pacolet Park. Today, only Pacolet and Central Pacolet exist as separate towns.
