The Texas city of Cleburne, named in honor of Confederate General Patrick Cleburne, is the county seat of Johnson County. It was originally known as Camp Henderson, a temporary outpost in the Civil War from where the troops would depart for war. Most of them were under the command of General Cleburne. The city was incorporated in 1871.
