The city of Tomahawk is located in Lincoln County, Wisconsin. Tomahawk is a hand weapon formerly used by Native Americans who inhabited and hunted in this area. The city was founded in 1886 by William Bradley of the Tomahawk Land and Boom Company and established as a lumber area, It was incorporated in 1891.
