Worland, Wyoming is the seat of Washakie County. It was settled in 1900 and incorporated as a city in 1906. Situated in the Big Horn Basin on the banks of the Big Horn River in northwestern Wyoming, it is surrounded by the Absaroka and the Wind River Mountains as well as the Wind River Canyon.
