Courteney Bass Cox was born on June 15, 1964 in Mountain Brook, Alabama. She made her first film appearance when Bruce Springsteen pulled her onto the stage and danced with her in 1984 in the music video of “Dancing in the Dark.” She went to school in Washington, D.C. to study architecture but left before graduation to pursue an acting career. She played Monica Geller on the sitcom “Friends. In 2010, she was divorced from actor David Arquette after more than a decade of marriage, and together, they have a daughter. Courteney has been dating musician Johnny McDaid since 2013, and they have announced their engagement in June 2014.
