The focal point of this portion of our guide is on attractions, events, sports facilities and programs, and recreational opportunities in Jenison, Michigan.
Museums, historical places, theaters, music venues, libraries, and art galleries in Jenison are appropriate topics for this category, as are local entertainment venues, scheduled concerts, festivals, and other events. Theater and musical groups in Jenison may also be found here.
Parks, hiking or biking trails, and other recreational facilities may be listed here, as would local sports teams, leagues, programs, or facilities, whether operated through a governmental parks and recreation system, school district, community organization, or as a private venue. Bowling alleys and arcades would be suitable, as well.
A few examples include The Grand Lady Riverboat. Although just outside the boundaries set for the Jenison census-designated place (CDP), the steamboat landing is just east of the CDP, along the Grand River, in an area generally considered to be part of Jenison. Likewise, the Wallinwood Springs Golf Course abuts the CDP and the Grand River, and may be listed here.
Jenison has two community parks, Hager Park and Woodcrest Park, both within the CDP. Grand Ravines Dog Park consists of two sections separated by deep ravines, but a suspension bridge connects them.
