Bear Cave Park, on the west side of town, is the largest of Stewartville's municipal parks. It features softball diamonds, volleyball and soccer fields, disc golf, a playground, and the Stewartville Youth Athletic Association building.
Florence Park, which may be reserved for family or group events, has hiking and biking trails, fishing ponds, a playground, pavilion, park shelters, and an ice skating rink. It is located west of Bear Cave Park.
Meadow Hills Park, south of the Riverview Greens Golf Course, also had hiking and biking trails, a playground, sandbox, softball diamond, and an ice skating rink.
Brin Park is a small park in southeastern Stewartville that features a playground, park shelter, and basketball hoops.
Situated east of the Stewartville Middle and High Schools, the municipal swimming pool includes a slide and interactive water features for toddlers, as well as a deep pool with a diving board and two slides.
The Stewartville Community Band was organized in 1980, and the city also boasts the Stewartville Community Theatre.
Recreation and sports activities are organized by the Stewartville School District, as well as by various community organizations which offer opportunities for softball and volleyball competitions, and the Stewartville Youth Athletic Association, which offers basketball, baseball, soccer, softball, football, and other sports and recreational programs.
