Built in 1994, and located in the city of Waseca, Minnesota, the Waseca Community Arena is home to the Waseca Hockey Association and has ice from October to March. The mission of the WCHS is to collect, preserve, interpret, and disseminate the history of Waseca County, and to promote interest in history. The Center also operates a museum that houses exhibits, a gift shop, offices, processing, and collection storage on the main floor, as well as a pioneer dwelling on the south lawn of the courthouse, a research library, and other services and events, which are discussed here.

Waseca Sleigh & Cutter Festival
A tradition since 1950, the festival has grown from a one-day event to a multi-day community event that includes the Miss Waseca County Sleigh & Cutter Pageant, the Miss South Central Pageant, the Miss Waseca County Sleigh & Cutter’s Outstanding Teen Pageant, Miss South Central’s Outstanding Teen, and the Miss Waseca County Princess program, as well as several festival events, and children’s activities.
