Although the Village of Amelia was dissolved in 2019, the community remains as a census-designated place and has been growing steadily.

Situated southeast of Cincinnati, along Ohio State Route 125 (Ohio Pike), near Batavia, New Richmond, and Withamsville, health and public safety services in Amelia serve a larger area, as well as its own growing population.

Amelia's public safety infrastructure is anchored by the Central Joint Fire-EMS District, which operates Station 11 at 1776 OH-125 in Amelia, providing fire suppression, rescue operations, and emergency medical response throughout Amelia and surrounding areas, maintaining a strong reputation for reliability and rapid service.

Police services within Amelia changed significantly after the dissolution of the former village government. The Amelia Police Department, once located at 44 West Main Street, is now permanently closed. Law enforcement coverage is currently provided by county-level agencies, such as the Clermont County Sheriff's Office, and nearby township departments, although these lie outside the CDP.

Ambulance transport for non-emergency and interfacility needs is available through regional providers such as Divine Medical Transport, which serves the Amelia region from nearby Eastgate.

Amelia does not have a hospital within its boundaries, so residents rely on nearby regional hospitals, such as Mercy Health - Clermont Hospital in Batavia for emergency and inpatient care. Within the CDP itself, healthcare access is provided through smaller clinics and specialized offices, such as The Little Clinic, a walk-in clinic on West Main Street that offers basic medical evaluations, the treatment of minor illnesses, and preventative services.

On White Oak Road, Industrial Healthtest is an occupational health provider offering workplace physicals, drug testing, and employment-related medical evaluations.

Healing Hope is a mental health service in Amelia, providing counseling and therapeutic support for individuals and families. Greater Cincinnati Behavioral Health Services also has an office in Amelia. Other medical clinics in Amelia include Anderson Hills Pediatrics, which has a local office, and Simplicity Chiropractic on West Ohio Pike.

Dental care facilities in Amelia include Amelia Dental Center, Amelia East Family Dentistry, and Savvy Smiles Family Dental.

Veterinary care is available from Lake Pointe Veterinary Hospital, Main Street Animal Hospital, and Withamsville Animal Hospital.

These, and any other health and wellness programs, medical, dental, chiropractic, eye care, physical therapy, mental health, alternative healthcare, or veterinary facilities are appropriate topics for this part of our web guide.
