In order to open a corporate bank account, you’ll need to show the banking institution a copy of your Articles of Incorporation.  They will also need to know Your EIN, and may even request to see your business license.

You might be disappointed to learn how much a bank charges a corporation to open an account compared to what they charge an individual to open a personal account.

You’ll want to compare fee structures charged by various financial institutions in your area because some levy fees even when you deposit money into the bank.

You might find that there are fees charged if the corporation doesn’t maintain a certain balance, such as $1,000.  If you find a better deal in an area out of your local realm, then you might want to consider opening your account there and simply using online banking or mail-in methods to lower your overall cost of doing business.
